Obi-Wan Kenobi Suite | Obi-Wan Kenobi (Original Soundtrack) by John Williams & William Ross

Despite my qualms with the show and soundtrack, Obi-Wan stayed as the best part both in the show and in the musical score. John Williams returned with what's probably his final Star Wars theme, and chose collaborator William Ross to adapt it throughout the score. The theme is heroic, solemn, yet hopeful, capturing the desolate loneliness of the Jedi while also depicting the hope and optimism that he grows into throughout the show. There's also an action ostinato alongside his theme that grows, keeping steady momentum with rushing strings and brass bursts, depicting the rush and urgency of his mission. As the story and his emotional turmoil over Vader comes to a head in their final duel, the once contemplative and reserved theme bursts into highly emotional orchestral crescendoes with arousing choir, as his emotional baggage comes to a head alongside it.
