We're a family of four preparing our 1988 Land Rover 110 (Perentie) to overland from Cape Town to Nairobi installing chimneys in cooking huts, working with low income and economically vulnerable communities.
In this episode we convert our two door ex-Australian Military Perentie into a 5 door hard top wagon that is better suited to our needs while overlanding.
We use a 1997 Defender Tub, roof and doors—it bolts on fairly straightforwardly but we ran into trouble with fuel tank fit and various other quirks that Land Rover changed for the military version.
