In this Revit Structure tutorial, I am configuring line weights inside the Revit template file. The Revit template file that I am using in this tutorial is the same file that I created in part one of this video series.
If you are looking to establish a standard for your construction documentation, whether trying to match your current Autocad standards or creating a new office standard, configuring line weights is important. Configuring line weights in Revit to match your current Autocad office standard will bring a cohesive look to your construction documentation, regardless of which software you use (Autocad or Revit). If you are creating a new office standard, or just starting out, configuring line weights allows you to create bold elements in your construction documentation that you will want to bring focus to... It will also allow you to lighten up elements that don't require as much attention.
