The Chancellor has been accused of lying to the public over the financial black hole she needed to fill in the Budget.
Ahead of Wednesday's speech there were warnings that Rachel Reeves had to find as much as £20bn to balance the Government's books.
But today the chairman of the Office for Budget Responsibility (OBR) said he had told the chancellor in mid-September the gap would be much smaller.
