I got a check engine light and it was secondary air pump bank 1 and bank 2. Turns out secondary air pump is only needed shortly after a cold start to warm up the cats. I replaced the pump and EGR valve with new ones and still got code. Then I found out about Kassel Performance Secondary air pump delete and tune for the DME. It removes the need to have a secondary air pump system at all. It comes with a delete plate for the EGR value too. You can ship in your DME to be coded and returned, or just buy one already coded to your VIN for no down time. It is so nice not to see a check engine light everyday.
