So House of The Dragon really did have a perfect start for season 2 episode 1 in a lot of ways, but there is an asterisk to that statement. Fans who have read the source material are going to probably feel disappointed by the last 10 minutes of this episode or just downright confused about how they feel about it because it is presented so much differently than the source material, but this episode is so much more than that and I don’t think it is ruined by an ending that’s controversial to book fans - and we’re going to go over all of that. But first lets talk about the opening scene and go from there.
