Taylor Swift - All Too Well: An Animated Short Film

We never realize at the time that the seemingly small moments make up our life’s greatest memories. It is only when we walk past the roads, crosswalks, and buildings where these memories once lived that we recognize the bliss in those serendipitous moments. Although it is an inevitable part of life to leave some people behind, rather than grieving over “wasted time” with them, it is essential to reflect upon our experiences and learn from them, moving forward with a deeper understanding of who we are.

Having grown up listening to Taylor Swift’s music (her Speak Now and Fearless albums were the first albums I’ve ever bought when I turned 7 years old), I was so excited for Taylor’s version of Red to finally come out. As I was listening to the songs in the album, I was swept into waves of nostalgia and newfound appreciation of Taylor’s lyrics that I couldn’t quite grasp when I was younger. And that’s what’s so magical about Taylor’s music — her emotions and passion transcend generations and keep us coming back. I also extremely admire her talent to turn her experiences and pains into art that resonates with millions of listeners around the world.

Even though I listened to many of Taylor’s songs when I was younger, listening to these same songs again 10 years later I find that these songs are now filled with the people and places that have touched my life. The lyrics that once rolled off my tongue as a pre-teen now bring to life indescribable emotions.

We hoped to bring the emotions we felt when relistening to All Too Well — the innocence and joys of new love as well as the heartache of losing someone you loved — into this music video.
