Start Up Shatam: 1 Year 1 Vision

IIT Madras marks a historic milestone as the IITM Incubation Cell incubates 104 deep-tech start-ups in a single financial year (2024–25), fulfilling the visionary Start-up Shatam mission set by Director Prof. V. Kamakoti.

More than 50% of these start-ups are founded by IIT Madras's faculty, staff, students, and alumni — a true celebration of our diverse and thriving innovation ecosystem.

Over the past 12 years, IITMIC has supported 457 deep-tech start-ups valued collectively at ₹50,000+ Cr, including two unicorns and one IPO-bound company.

From space tech to AI, biotech to IoT, our new batch of 100+ start-ups is pushing boundaries and building a future-ready India.
