Strong Mortise and Tenon Joint with Wedge-Shaped Spacers
I created a vertical sawing guide to cut the material vertically. The vertical sawing guide is for fixing the material vertically and making vertical cuts.
The black part you see is a magnetic sheet attached to a board, secured with woodworking screws on the base surface. On the underside of the base surface, there is a slightly thicker lumber (50×70mm) fixed with wood screws.
Clamp the vertical sawing guide and the workbench. This time, I used a 15mm thick spacer, allowing me to make a cut 15mm away from the edge of the material fixed to the base surface. By changing the thickness of the spacer, the cutting position can also be changed, enabling various types of joints to be produced.
The vertical sawing guide has small magnets embedded in holes on the base surface. The wedge-shaped spacers I made can also be cut into dovetail joints. Dovetail joints are a strong method of joining that makes it difficult for the joint to come apart.
I used oak wood for the material.

縦挽きガイドは、材を縦に固定して、縦に切り込むた ・めのガイドです。
黒く見える部分は板にマグネットシー トを貼り、
ベース面に 木工ネジ固定されています。
ベース面の裏側に は、やや太め (50×70mm)の角材を木ネジで 固定しています。
クランプで縦挽きガイドと作業台を固 定します。
今回は厚さ15mmのスペーサーを使ています、
ベース面に 固定された材の端から15㎜離れた位置に切り込みを 入れることができます。
スペーサーの厚みを変えれば、
切り込み位置も変わってきます。この方法でまざまな 継ぎ手が製作できます。
縦挽きガイドには、ベー スクの穴に小さな磁石が埋め 込んであります。
