Fix You | Dan & Blair

You guys, I have been working on this video ALL month! I'm so excited to finally have it finished! You have no idea how proud I am of it. I don't remember the last time I vidded a full song before. Ha Either way, this is my entry into the Senior Vidders semifinals on SYTYCV. I was sorted into Group 2: Hope, Fear and Hate.

There are certain things I played with using the above mentioned emotions. For fear, I wanted to show Dan and Blair scared of losing Serena and Chuck, which is why they continue to run back to them. In the end, this fear turns into hate and Dan and Blair sever all ties with their respective partners, hoping together they'll live much more fulfilled lives. Dan plans a road trip to Connecticut in an attempt to start this life with Blair. The trip will allow them to put all their past suffering behind them and just enjoy each others company.

Something else I played with was dealing with two different colors to demonstrate loyalty and hope. Whenever you notice a yellow clip, it's Dan or Blair reminding themselves of their bond with Serena and Chuck, and then later the bond they share themselves. When the clips are black and white, it's an example of certain scenarios they dream of coming true one day.
