Another trip to Slindon Safari 4x4, felt prepared on this visit new mud tyres, both diff guards, transfer box and fuel tank bash guards fitted…. Unfortunately I managed to pierce a hole in my sump plate, Jimny soiled it’s self pretty quick. Marshall’s managed recover us to the main road and waited for recovery home.
Lesson learn keep your nuts down!! The cause of damage I fitted the front diff guard bolts the wrong way round nuts up. The axel took a heavy knock and the bolt punctured the sump. New sump and gasket ordered, swap bolts on diff guard and do it all again.
