I am sorry for the lack of video uploads, but my life has gotten very crazy since winning Ms. Wheelchair Pennsylvania.
This video was filmed last spring 2017, it just took me that long to actually post it for everyone to see. This is actually the first video I ever tried to edit! I think I did a pretty decent job with the little bit of editing that I did. I told myself I would work on editing my videos every night for an hour or two before I went to sleep, and I finally got one video done! I have a lot more videos to go for you all to see! I will do my best to keep posting videos consistently though!
In this video I am showing how I personally transfer into my vehicle, and how I transfer out of it. I also show you how I break down my wheelchair and put it in my car. I show how I take it out of my car as well in this video. I hope this video is informative and helps someone somewhere! Please remember every injury is different, and what works for me... may not work for you! Don't ever let anyone put you down and make you feel like you aren't at this stage in your recovery. Everyone handles this injury and life differently, my advice is simply you will know when you're ready to get to this stage. It personally took me 3 years to even want to drive a car again, and another 2 years to master this! Don't give up and keep on pushing! If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask! I will do my best to answer all questions i can on this platform!
