God tells Moses that he may not go into the Promised Land because he “broke faith” and struck the rock. Moses introduces the children of Israel to their new leader, Joshua. Moses calls the people together and reminds them to obey God and repeat God’s commands to their children. He then climbs Mount Nebo. From Mount Nebo, God shows Moses the Promised Land before he dies.
