On a quest through a desolate landscape, a lonely wanderer seeks the mysterious mountain to fix the reality coming undone around him.

Drawing from the conventions of post-apocalyptic road cinema and adventure video games, the story follows the journey of the Wanderer, traversing a wild landscape in search of the mythical Mountain. The world, inspired by Lower Silesia region of Poland, is filled with oniric scenery, mysterious forests, misty fields, overgrown ruins and unsettling glitches – rifts in a deteriorating reality. Overcoming numerous obstacles, the Wanderer strives to reach his goal at any cost, attempting to fix what is seemingly irreparable.

Mikołaj Birek, born in 1987 in Łódź, is an assistant professor at the Chair of Graphic Design at the University of Information Technology and Management in Rzeszów. He is an author of numerous solo exhibitions, animations, music videos, and multimedia projects. In his creative and scientific work he focuses on digital painting, animation, photogrammetry, video games as well as music and sound design. His main source of inspiration comes from Lower Silesia, the region in Poland from which his family originates. In his free time he enjoys nature, martial arts and Star Wars.
