If you’ve got a DUI, call the Big Man right away. He’ll enter an appearance for you, plead not guilty and tell the court to set the matter for trial. He’ll also file a notice of demand for a speedy trial, ask for a trial within 30 days, and request a continuation of your driving privileges. The public safety commissioner will suspend your license without a trial set for within 30 days. After that, the Big Man will file a request for discovery that includes videos, documents, reports, statements, and photographs. Once he has everything, the Big Man will tell you the good and bad points about your case so you can make an educated decision on how to proceed.
