How To Clean And Whiten Sheets

This is a dry cleaners guide for cleaning, whitening, and brightening sheets!

YOU DON'T NEED TO DO ALL OF THESE STEPS EVERY TIME!!! Play around and see which work best for you. But definitely use oxygen bleach:

1) Pretreat those high use / yellow areas with dish soap or liquid laundry detergent to tackle the body oil (sebum) stains which cause the yellowing!
2) Add boosters like borax, washing soda, sodium percarbonate (powdered oxygen bleach), and baking soda to the drum of your machine (ideally before you load clothing). Play around with the ratios and find what's best for you.
3) Rinse products are a nice touch but are not necessary
4) Adding more powdered oxygen bleach every once in a while is wise as well
5) Soak your sheets (towels too) in hot hot water (ideally 140 F / 60 C) overnight with powdered oxygen bleach. Oxygen bleach, unlike chlorine bleach, takes a long time to work and loves heat.
6) If you don't have the ability to soak your sheets try spraying them with hydrogen peroxide and air drying them inside / in the shade
7) Rewash and enjoy your squeaky clean sheets
