Hello!
Thank you for being here!
This was a bumbly one. Not going to lie. BUT I think the beat and loop at the end are interesting and worth a listen.
In this patch, I run two clock dividers (4+1) through an attenuator into the CLK pin. This gives me a straight beat and a nice swinging one. Because you are unable to use the CLK mod pin while in MIDI mode, This is a nice way to get a global gallop, so to speak.
To make it weirder, my Octatrack is set to a 60-step pattern with hits every five beats.
I then loop some vocals over top to show the movement of the sequencer and the pulsar and how they dance around each other.
Some might find the rhythms a little too off at times, but I really appreciate the constant movement.
Brief Patch Description:
4+1 Through attenuator to clock pin.
8 through pulse converter to HHT trig
1 Though pulse converter to Kick (BD) Trig
1 Though Gate inverter to SD Trig with 10v on the Inverter CV
Bass Module triggered by Triangle LFO
Ground through VCA Gated by 3-bit Shaos out to Bass CV
16 to Shaos Clock
8 to Shaos S/H
Triangle LFO through attenuator to Shaos Data Pin
Vocal mic running into #6 I/O then connected to #1 I/O which goes out to Octatrack input A.
