Yes, the former Carclaze Infant School in St Austell has remained abandoned since its closure in 2010 when a new school opened nearby. The building has suffered from vandalism and two suspected arson attacks in August 2015 and July 2020

There have been discussions about redeveloping the site into residential flats while preserving its historical features, but concerns remain about the impact on the area's character and the availability of affordable housing. A local facebook group has been advocating for the preservation of the building's features during any redevelopment.
