Can the Ford Bronco handle the Rubicon Trail? We put it to the test with 8 Broncos of all build levels on the legendary Wentworth Springs Loop, a demanding section of the Rubicon Trail in California.
From stock Badlands Broncos on 33” tires to fully built rigs with portal axles and 40s, we covered the full spectrum of Bronco capability. Over the course of 5 hours, we tackled granite slabs, tight squeezes, deep ruts, and steep climbs — proving that the new Bronco platform can absolutely hang in Jeep territory.

Stock 4-door Bronco on 33's
Mid-builds on 37's with bumpers, winches, and sliders
Hardcore trail rigs with portal axles, 40” tires
Bronco Raptor on 37's

Loop: Wentworth Springs to Loon Lake via the Rubicon Trail
Time: 5 hours total
Breakage: Minor (1 cv axle issue toward the end + minor cosmetic trail badges)
