Leaders of the Mount Sinai Health System and Mount Sinai South Nassau were joined by elected officials and community leaders to help dedicate the new Feil Family Pavilion — a transformative, four-story patient addition that will allow for advanced cardiac procedures and critical care to be provided right on the hospital's Oceanside campus, saving patients and their families from having to travel to NYC or to the North Shore.
Highlights include:
40 new intensive & critical care beds – doubling capacity to meet growing demand
An expanded Fennessy Family Emergency Department – modern, patient-centered, and tech-forward
9 state-of-the-art operating rooms – paving the way for a groundbreaking open-heart surgery program, coming in 2026, led by top surgeons from Mount Sinai Fuster Heart Hospital (ranked #2 in the nation for cardiac care!)
This milestone was made possible in part through the generous support of Rockville Centre resident Jeffrey Feil and his family. The Feils have been long time supporters of Mount Sinai South Nassau, sharing our vision to bring advanced care to the South Shore.
