Osaka & Kyoto Chill Vlog | Where to Eat, Shop, and Relax in Umeda

Spend a spring weekend with us as we explore Osaka on a casual day — with a few charming detours in Kyoto! We started our day with a hearty lunch at a cozy mom-and-pop restaurant in Kyoto before hopping on the Hankyu train to Umeda, just under an hour away. In Osaka, we explored the newly opened Grand Green Osaka and Umekita Park, visited the trendy Timeout Market, and admired the city’s evolving skyline. We also checked out two new hotels — the luxurious Waldorf Astoria Osaka and the stylish Canopy Hotel — and visited the iconic Umeda Sky Building, where we caught a fun event featuring traditional Japanese drums and mascots. After enjoying retro eats and modern shopping at Grand Front Osaka, we ended our day back in Kyoto with a delicious home-cooked shabu shabu dinner featuring A5 wagyu and Hakata ponzu. Perfect for travelers wondering where to go, what to eat, and how to explore Osaka and Kyoto in one day.
