In making up the various ropes they report the size of the rope by measuring the circumference of the rope not the diameter so if someone says 2” rope that is the measurement of the circumference of the rope. To get the diameter divide the circumference by 3.1416, so a 4” rope is actually 1.273 of an inch in diameter or 1 1/4’ thick. In scale .026 thread
The gun tackle is 1.5” in circumference so or .47” thick so roughly 1/2” thick so .0104 thread in scal
