Here we are replacing the A/C system on a 2002 Ford F150 5.4l V8. The old compressor had seized up and typically when that happens it will send metal pieces through the system and they will get lodged in small places where they will later brake loose and ruin your new compressor. This is why in this video we are replacing the compressor, condenser, accumulator (drier), and orifice tube. You may as well replace your belt as it is going to be removed during this process anyway.
If your 1997–2003 Ford F-150 isn’t blowing cold air, this full A/C replacement guide will walk you through removing and installing the A/C compressor, accumulator, orifice tube, and doing a proper recharge. This DIY tutorial is perfect for anyone working on the 4.2L, 4.6L, or 5.4L engines found in the 10th-gen F150.
