"Rage Quit" by bli | Geometry Dash 2.2

When I heard about Waboo's new contest, with creators like bli and Serponge in it, I knew I had to check out what they had cooked. Both of them made some bangers and placed really high as deserved, and I was excited to try them out in-game. Serponge's level isn't out yet, but bli's entry—titled "Rage Quit"—is now out. I'm sure you've already seen this on various social media already, as it was posted a lot in the last few days. This is understandable considering the visuals at display here. The first few deaths are unavoidable, after which there is a crazy animation of the screen being hit by a fist and an iPad falling down on the table. This is only the beginning of a crazy journey between the background and foreground, with lots of great art and effects to convey the transitions. I can't remember seeing a level breaking the 4th wall this well before, and I can't imagine we will see another for a long time, if ever. More "rage quits" happen throughout the level, giving the whole thing a loose theme fitting of the name bli chose.

If you weren't aware of Waboo's contest before now, you may not have been able to tell that the gameplay of this is basically just "Stereo Madness", the first level in the game. The visuals make it appear very differently, and I was expecting it to be a bit harder due to that, but bli managed to keep it very easy still. All in all, I think this will be rated either 2 or 3 Stars. For the rating type, well, I've seen a lot of calls for Mythic, and I think RobTop may do just that. I can't see Classic levels at this difficulty being executed much better. One final thing I'd like to add is that this uses 31804 objects, which is much less than you'd expect watching or playing it. I'm glad one of the most popular creators now puts a lot of effort into optimization, and hopefully more creators follow in his footsteps in the future!
