An excellent model made by Heljan as an exclusive for Hattons of Liverpool.
Perhaps the most unusual of the pilot diesel locomotives, the Metropolitan-Vickers CO-BO featured this unique wheel arrangement in order to keep the weight of the machine within the 18 ton axle limit for a Type 2 diesel. A Crossley 2 stroke marine engine of 1200 h.p. was used as the power unit with somewhat limited success.
The model is fitted with a Zimo 645R Decoder, supplied and programmed by Mr Soundguy.
One of the side effects of these wonderful models is that in order to fit any sort of coupling it becomes necessary to demolish part of the factory fitted pipework at either end and this sacrilege has not yet been committed.
