The Georgia Boy Choir performs the Magnificat in C by Charles Villiers Stanford, recorded live during our 2023 artist residency at Truro Cathedral in Cornwall England.
Composed in 1880, Stanford’s setting of the traditional Magnificat text is a cornerstone of the Anglican choral repertoire. It is radiant and dramatic with organ and voices in full dialogue. In the magnificent acoustic of Truro Cathedral every phrase of praise and glory comes alive.
