A "Tombeau" is a musical composition commemorating the death of a notable individual. The term derives from the French word for "tomb" or "tombstone." This Tombeau commemorates the death of the famous lutenist Mezangeau. Composed by Ennemond Gaultier (1575-1651). Performed at French Baroque pitch (A=392Hz), without nails and on nylgut strings by Aquila.
