Many calls come in about masked lapwings who have laid their eggs in an unsuitable environment. Lapwings show protective behaviour. Moving a nest with eggs may be done in some circumstances in a case-by-case scenario. This video explains when and how to move masked lapwing eggs. Seek help from an experienced avian rehabilitator. All Australian wildlife are protected and an NPWS licence may be needed. This video is intended as a guide for wildlife rehabilitators.
