🇯🇵 Tourists Don't Come Here JAPAN's LAVA Coast

Tourists don't usually come here to this part of Japan. The LAVA Coast. So we are really excited to discover The Jogasaki Coast (城ヶ崎海岸)
We are exploring Japan in a camper van and trying to wild camp throughout our entire visit. No camp sites. So we found a free public car park that had an amazing hiking trail that we only scratched the surface of. This is definitely an area that we will be returning to in the future.

It is located in the Izu Kogen area Jōgasaki Kaigan in a beautiful section of coastline along the Izu Peninsula. , about ten kilometers south of central Ito. A hiking trail follows the coast for almost ten kilometers, offering beautiful views of the jagged lava formed cliffs and stone formations that hug the coast. It is also possible to walk shorter sections of the trail.

When we finished our hike we went to our first Japanese ONSEN Spa experience at Akazama Onsen and day spa which was incredible. We had such a good time there that we will never forget.
