at this rate all im ever going to post ever again is anniversary covers... AND this one I actually finished late as well, just like last year! i'm never gonna top that ghost rule cover in terms of numbers, but ive wanted to cover icarus for years, even before the instrumental was released in 2018, so finally doing it feels so satisfying. doubly so since I think solaria's vocal modes finally let me coax out the power that i really really wanted to use with her! (and that i lacked in ghost rule haha)

this cover is actually the third that i've been working on since day&night, and the one that I was chugging thru and holding everything else up already has a finished mix, but the vid is just taking a while bc i tried to get ambitious with it again. anyways, that mix taught me a lot because i messed up the mastering real bad, so I think I did way better with this icarus cover. im proud of the glitch vocals! i've never done anything like that before.

doing this art is also cathartic in a way; i drew icarus fanart with miku 5 years ago and uhhh 5 years of improvement kinda shows!

I've also been doing (failing, mostly) a january challenge to do anatomy and clothing studies, and THAT really shows as well too! i think my arms have gotten much better pls ignore the hands tho i really rushed this piece in one day

i hope, i HOPE i can get this other cover unstuck out of my system soon... been busy ever since winter break ended but I will persevere!
