Hi! I'm Aaron, and this is my shop. Join me as I learn how to work with metal.
Trying some heavy turning with a hunk of 4340 hot rolled alloy steel. It didn't go very well, including snapping one end of a very expensive insert.
I have a plan to try again with a different chip breaker and a slightly different grade of carbide, so we're not giving up yet!
Things don't always go as planned, and that's how good lessons can be learned.
