In Osttirol there are two main rivers: Drau and Isel. The drau got a storage power station. This station lets the stowed water free every day. Hence it is possible to go kayaking there every day of the year, even in winter. It is not much water in it, but u can do it. It is class 1-2+ and good to get some power for the real water later in the year. We did such a winter run. Just for fun.
