Rotary International (RI) DG Speaks 5.0 (November Edition) Highlights
During the 5th Edition of District Governor (DG) Speaks, held on Tuesday, November 18, Rotarian Lanre Adedoyin, the District Governor of Rotary International District 9112, expressed his sincere gratitude to all Rotarians for their continued support of the District and encouraged them to maintain their commitment.
He stated, “I extend a warm welcome to my fellow Rotarians and thank you for the support you have provided thus far; it is genuinely appreciated. Let's keep it coming. I also want to acknowledge everyone who participated in the Evening With The DG on Friday, October 31st. That event was both successful and memorable. We truly enjoyed the fellowship and had excellent networking opportunities.”
He then provided an update on the District, beginning with the Membership report:
Membership: Our membership has increased from 2,361 to 2,606. Club presidents are urged to update our records with new inductees to accurately reflect this growth.
The Rotary Foundation: Thank you to all contributors. We need to boost participation; every contribution counts. No matter how small, is valuable. Let us keep this support coming.
Rotary International (RI) Dues and District Dues: It is essential to recognize the importance of both Rotary International Dues and District Dues. The effective functioning of the District relies on these payments. Don't prioritize one and neglect the other. Consider the payment of District Dues as a vital obligation; failure to pay can lead to increased challenges in the administration of the District. Please give equal consideration to both dues. The joy of our gatherings lies in our collective efforts to do good together. Supporting the district enables it to serve you better.
As for the RI Dues, please be aware of the following deadlines: the first Semi-Annual Dues are due on or before September 15, 2025, and the second Semi-Annual Dues are due on or before March 15, 2026.
Club Visit: As of November 17, we’ve visited 38 clubs. More visits could happen with better preparation. Thank you to the clubs that have welcomed the District Governor.
Awards and Recognition: Submit your half-year report for the 2025-2026 Rotary Year by January 16, 2026, to assist the committee effectively.
