💡 STEPS:
1️⃣ use a high quality matcha powder (i used Mizuba Tea Co’s Daily matcha - https://bit.ly/42IwLbP). does not need to be “ceremonial” grade. however, “culinary” grade might not produce your desired results. you may just need to use trial and error with what you have!

2️⃣ sift 3g matcha with 30ml of water at 170°F / 77°C. i like to use a 1:10 ratio of matcha to water. also, sifting helps remove clumps and produces a smoother end result

3️⃣ whisk vigorously yet gently in a W back-and-forth motion for 30 seconds until large bubbles form

4️⃣ slow down your speed and whisk just the surface to break up the large bubbles. do this for another 30 seconds or so. you may need to whisk longer and/or slower to break up the bubbles

that’s it! your foam should look glassy and smooth. enjoy it as is or over a cup of milk 🥛
