Is This Pig Bug Now A Feature?

This has been a bug for quite some time now so I'm unsure if this is now a feature or just a bug. When equipping the video tape add-on survivors starting the match will have their bear trap timers start without the need of a gen being repaired so they'll have to waste a couple of minutes getting their bear trap off their head. This bug only mainly effects custom games very rarely will it effect live matches
