Stonewall variation of the Dutch defense is easy to learn chess opening for Black, recommended for beginner and intermediate level chess players. The main idea and plans are evolving from the typical stonewall pawn structure of the Stonewall Dutch, and is deeply based in strategy called bad bishop (the light-square bishop of Black is starting as a bad piece). It is known as one of the most solid opening choices for Black, and suitable for those who build their opening repertoire on the idea of attacking their opponent's kingside.
