Emergency services tribute to Niagara Health staff at Welland Hospital

With lights flashing and sirens blaring, dozens of Niagara Emergency Medical Services vehicles, Niagara Regional Police cruisers, and fire vehicles from Welland, Port Colborne and Wainfleet fire departments made a short trip from Welland Arena to Welland hospital Monday night.
The vehicles drove down Third Street and into the main parking lot of the hospital before heading past dozens of hospital staff by the emergency department entrance.
Once stopped, paramedics, firefighters and police got out of their vehicles and started clapping loudly in unison, thanking the health-care professionals for their work during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Cinematic North would like to thank our physicians, nurses, and all healthcare workers and support staff, who are risking their own health to care for the most vulnerable among us.
