I have always had great success sprouting lithops in cooler temperatures , heating them to temperature. Trying to sprout them in the middle of summers heat has been a little trickier. I've took a chance and tried changing my method with great results. By adding a thin layer of sand to the top, adds the extra moisture needed. Looks like in high temperatures the top layer in the pots dries out a little to much. Also by not using a heat mat, humidity levels are no where's near what they normally are in winter.
