Big Wins and Big Failures At The Boat Yard Today!!!

With the new season looming now, we get through a lot of jobs today and have some big wins but a couple of big failures too!

Big wins are getting the Simrad TP10 Autohelm fitted and also the solar panel which has stuck down well. Also a lot of the fibreglassing has cured well and should mark the end of any more of that for the winter!

The new motor pad is a different story though. It's just completely the wrong size and the bolts are almost 5cm out too. There's no way this will fit Lulu so we have to go back to Drascombe about that.

I then get the centreboard slot measured up for a slot gasket that should help to keep water at bay if we ever get swamped and lastly we give Lulu's hull a good T-Cut and wax, leaving her all shiny and new as we leave.

Interestingly you also get a quick look at the spring tides here on the Mersey which can sometimes cause a bore wave this far up.
