In honor of his legacy, November 15 is celebrated as Janjatiya Gaurav Divas across India.

On November 15, 2024, Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi inaugurated the 150th birth anniversary celebrations of Bhagwan Birsa Munda in Jamui district, Bihar. A commemorative coin and postal stamp were released to mark this historic occasion.
