This is the non-360 version of my walk, filmed in a calm, steady style for viewers who enjoy a peaceful, cinematic journey through one of the New Forest’s most beautiful woodland areas.

Enjoy a gentle and restorative walk around Crockford Clump Inclosure, a lesser-known corner of the New Forest National Park that offers a peaceful blend of woodland, heathland edges and wide open skies. This route is perfect for anyone looking to escape the busier spots and experience the Forest at its most calm and natural.

The walk begins among tall conifers and mixed broadleaf trees, following wide, easy tracks created during the Forest’s historic timber-growing period. Like many of the inclosures, Crockford Clump was enclosed in the 18th and 19th centuries to supply timber for shipbuilding and later for industry — but today it has softened into a quiet refuge for wildlife.
You may hear or see woodpeckers, tits, finches, woodland thrushes, and on a lucky day, roaming New Forest ponies or deer moving quietly between the trees.

As the path opens out, the inclosure borders stretches of classic New Forest heathland, giving you lovely contrasts between shaded woodland and wide, airy views. The mix of light, space and habitat makes this a great spot for birds, butterflies and seasonal colours from gorse, heather and mossy forest floors.

Whether you’re out for a gentle stroll, filming a peaceful nature walk, or simply exploring new corners of the New Forest, Crockford Clump offers a wonderfully relaxed and uncomplicated route through one of the Forest’s quieter landscapes.
