Construction is now underway for Section 1A of NLEX Segment 8.2, covering the first 2 kilometers from Mindanao Avenue to Quirino Highway. This portion will serve as the starting ramp and connector that links directly to the rest of Segment 8.2.
For context, the entire NLEX Segment 8.2 (also called the NLEX C5 North Link) is an 11.5-km expressway that will connect Mindanao Avenue in Quezon City to Luzon Avenue and C.P. Garcia/Katipunan Avenue near C5.
Once completed, it will provide a faster and more direct route between NLEX and C5, helping decongest EDSA and other busy city roads.
