Amazing Dog Trick: Agility Weave Poles

Weave poles are a challenge for many beginners in agility!
I like to teach them via the “channel method”.
The idea is that it can be really tricky to communicate to our dogs “go right in the first pole … then left … then right … then left …”
That’s a lot of instructions that need to carry out in a short time!

Most weave pole methods instead use some kind of patterning.
In channel weaves, the pattern is actually just running in a straight line, and then sloooowly decreasing the channel width.

Expect this to take a few weeks or months to train completely 😀
Don’t do too many repetitions at once and ALWAYS wait until your puppy is done growing before attempting this 😀
