Researching becoming a pilot can be daunting at first. There is a lot to it, and you likely do not know what half of the jargon is even referring to. It is a huge commitment, but there are ways you can break it down and start taking steps forward to explore what it means to be a pilot without wasting time or money. In this video, I try to get you in the right mindset for the different steps you need to take in order to pursue your private pilot’s license. I did not want to put out another generic checklist of steps. I wanted to talk about the phases you go through and how the process actually feels.

This video is intended for anyone in the early stages of learning about aviation and flight training. It covers what the private pilot license process looks like at a high level, including exploration, decision making, and commitment. The goal is to help new students understand how to approach training, what to expect along the way, and how to move forward thoughtfully and intentionally.
