Inveraray takes the 2024 Scottish Championships in Dumbarton

In 2023 Inveraray and District Pipe Band were placed second in the Grade One Scottish Championship competition but won the 2023 Drumming Championship. This year the band was back to take both the Pipe Band championship and the Drumming Championship.
This was the 25th year the Scottish Pipe Band Championships were hosted by West Dunbartonshire Council. Sometimes money was short but the Council was always faithful and loyal to Scotland's many pipe bands. The setting is magnificent - next to the beautiful Clyde Estuary and in the shadow of historic Dumbarton Rock. Levengrove Park is always meticulately prepared by the council's workforce.
Inveraray and District pipe band's Pipe Major is Stuart Liddell MBE and the Leading Drummer is Steven McWhirter.
The band's medley choice was the same as in 2023, viz.:

The Rakes of Kildare, Christ Our Hope
Hech How Johnny Lad, The Laird o' Drumblair
Jock Wilson's Ball, The Fairy Dance
