"Behind the Wall" by Violet Jacob | Classic ghost stories | Audio narration

Visiting the town of Shorn for a weekend of golf, a young man sees more than he bargained for when peering through a hole in an old wall. Gradually, he begins to uncover part of the town’s dark history.

I choose stories to narrate based on my personal taste. I don’t think every one of them is a masterpiece, but I find something to enjoy in all of them. They are usually early twentieth century. Sometimes you might find the language, attitudes, representations objectionable to your modern sensibilities. A wise man once said “The past is a foreign country…” It can certainly be nice to visit from time to time, not to mention illuminating.
