This kirtle, with its classic lines and full skirt, is one of my all-time favourite projects. It's versatile, comfortable, and easy to style—perfect for both historical costuming and modern wear. I’ve taken inspiration from The Tudor Tailor, one of the best historical costuming books, and while I’ve modernized the construction for ease, the result is still beautifully authentic.

Whether you’re looking to create a stunning Renaissance dress, a LARP costume, or a cottagecore-inspired outfit, this kirtle is a fantastic base.
