Alford Corley nasceu em 22/05/1956 em Wichita no estado do Kansas.
É mais conhecido como o primeiro ator a interpretar "Steven Carrington" na novela "Dynasty" (telenovela americana) dos anos 80 e por seu single de sucesso de 84 "Square Rooms".
Trabalhou como porteiro no "Studio 54" (antiga boate em Manhattan) para pagar suas aulas de interpretação.
As músicas "Square Rooms" e "Cold Dresses" fez enorme sucesso em toda a Europa e Estados Unidos.
Teve um breve romance com a cantora Carly Simon.
Casou-se em 89 com uma atriz alemã e têm 3 filhos.
Ele reside na área de "Pacific Palisades", em Los Angeles.
