Scarfox Special // KLDC2025 // Kuala Lumpur Downmall Challenge 2025

This year we brought downhill mountain biking into a whole new arena with the first-ever Kuala Lumpur Downmall Challenge (KLDC2025) organized by Scarfox Cycling Club with our cooperation with Endurace!

After years of racing through the forest trails of Bukit Dinding's DH Track, we took things indoors — transforming Endah Parade shopping mall into a full-speed, high-adrenaline MTB downhill format battleground for the very first time in Malaysia.

The event kicked off on 26 June with the Race Kit Collection and Track Walk inside the mall. Race Briefing and Official Practice held on the following day 27 June, followed by Seeding on 28 June, and the much-anticipated final Race Day on 29 June 2025. A total of 145 racers from across Malaysia and neighbouring countries especially from Singapore and Indonesia came together to conquer escalators, barriers, tight corridors, stair drops and everything the urban setting could throw at them.

Racers competed across 7 categories, including Junior, Women Open, Men Open, Veteran, Men Master A & B categories, Men Sports and Men Elite — each facing a brand-new challenge unlike any traditional downhill race.

This video captures the energy, speed and historic moment of hosting Malaysia’s first MTB Downmall race at community level — a bold new chapter for our local downhill scene and one of the most unique race experiences ever held in Kuala Lumpur.

A special appreciation goes to Ministry of Youth & Sports (KBS Malaysia), Majlis Sukan Wilayah Persekutuan (MSWP) and Kuala Lumpur Cycling Association (PBKL) attending the event and supporting the development of urban cycling initiatives in the city.
