Lindsay Lawler and Chris Roberts wrote this song for the Truckload Carriers Association Highway Angel program. According to the TCA, "Highway Angel recognition is awarded for a driver's 'good deeds', ranging from simple acts of kindness, such as fixing a flat tire, to heroic life-saving efforts, such as pulling someone from a burning vehicle and administering CPR.
I was selected as the 2010 Highway Angel of the Year, and was flown to Boise, Idaho to receive the award during the Humanitarian Bowl on December 18, 2010. A couple of nights before the award, Lindsay and Chris performed this song live at Cafe Ole Restaurant and Cantina. Thanks to my wife April for filming
